“I honestly wasn’t sure about Hull at first, but it’s completely surpassed all my expectations. Being City of Culture really changed things, and there’s such a brilliant independent arts scene now – I always find something new to explore in the Fruit Market or the Old Town. The University of Hull campus is lovely and the support is fantastic, but the city itself is so welcoming and affordable. You get a lot more for your money here, which is huge for a student. Plus, people are genuinely friendly, and there’s a real sense of community. It’s got a unique charm, and I’m proud to call it my student home.”
