“When I’m trying to save money, a walk along the Roman Walls is a go-to – it’s completely free and the views are amazing, especially at sunset. Or I’ll spend an afternoon exploring Grosvenor Park, which is beautifully maintained and perfect for a picnic. Chester Market is also brilliant for cheap eats; you can grab a really good meal for under a fiver. There are always free events and exhibitions popping up at The Storyhouse or the Grosvenor Museum too, which are great for cultural fixes without spending a penny.” (Second year student, University of Chester)
