What Makes Aberystwyth Special

Affectionately known as ‘Aber,’ this town boasts a unique bohemian and liberal vibe, largely due to its significant student population. It offers stunning sunsets over Cardigan Bay, a rich Welsh cultural heritage, and a relaxed pace of life with a vibrant cultural pulse.

Don’t miss the sunsets over Cardigan Bay – they’re legendary and a perfect end to any student day!

“Aber is just magical, especially the sunsets over the bay – they’re seriously some of the best I’ve ever seen. As a student here, you feel so much a part of the town because the university is such a big deal. Everyone knows everyone, and there’s a real sense of community. I love being able to walk from my lectures straight to the beach, or pop into the National Library for a study session. It’s small enough to feel safe and friendly, but there’s always something happening at the Arts Centre or in the pubs. It’s the perfect place to focus on your studies and also have an amazing time by the sea.”
